Eco-Play

We closely interact with tiny souls who love fun and frolic, so our punch phrase, apart from the buzz words like 'development' and 'sustainability', is also 'eco-play'. Moreover, we are conscious that kids globally are becoming more and more aware of bionetwork (thanks to the novel pedagogy in schools and the extreme exposure through the Internet). Hence the Vividha fraternity tries to get the eco-friendly angle in through playful methods.

Here's is a quick round-up of our steps (but soon we intend to push our limits and 'run'):

Eco-healthy materials

We try to use bio-degradable and environment-friendly materials in all our products. An example: We buy disposed fabric scraps in bulk and use them ingenuously in our designs.

Cotton initiative

We work on tie-ups with NGOs and small ventures that manufacture cotton or its products. Besides pleasing our customers' budget, it also works as a sustainability aspect.

Curtail packaging

We restrict the use of packaging and storing materials by simplifying our storage methods. Our stores also experiment with fascinating, space and energy-saving approaches to visual communication.

Support

We shore up external campaigns as much as possible. Supporting endangered species (for example through www.saveourtigers.com and Greenpeace.in/turtle are a few of them.

Spread integrity

We incorporate subtle and social messages of goodness through our products. These work as feelers to our customers, who can then adopt them.

Green themes

We try to develop at least one environment-oriented theme every season for each of our product category like furnishing, toys and bric-a-brac.

Events

We spin painting, origami, poetry and other competitive events for kids at a few stores. A part of the profit is donated to different eco-saving campaigns and organizations.

Women empowerment

More than 300 rural women in the Vishakapatnam District, in partnership with the State Government District Rural Development Agency programme, are trained in stitching, embroidery and packaging. It provides them with employment, which makes them economically independent.
